THE TEPEXPAN MAN
Ack to about 10,000 years old. They were discovered by chance during the excavations in a Mammoth cemetery. The people started identifying them as the grandparents of the Mexicans. It was soon considered a great anthropologic discovery, since it was one of the oldest fossils of the pre-history in the American continent. Nonetheless, the scientific rigor brings down the myth of the Tepexpan man. In 1985, it was known that it hadn't been man but a woman, and that she had died when she was 30 years old. If such woman, grandmother of the Mexicans were alive, she would surely protest to the people that discovered her of having increased her age, she is only 2,000 years old and not the 10,000 that were attributed to her.
